One of my hobbies is finding old comics in my university's newspaper archive. This one from 1976 is credited to the California Avocado Advisory Board. There are no other details or context provided.
"Hi" says an avocado plant, as a woman walks by. "I must be losing my mind," she says. "No, it's me, your friendly avocado plant. Thanks for saving me after the salad." "Oh dear," says the woman.
