If you think “hearing from all sides” is a useful way to spend your time, you may have too much time on your hands. Give me sound logic or talk to someone else. My time is too valuable for nonsense.
Apologies in advance. I don’t read or repost Substack.
Someone somewhere definitely told him to just say “national security” whenever he felt threatened.

Yeah. Most speeches get edited—especially for broadcast. I’m not sure how many people know that, so it seems like a very weighted question.

Yup. I fully expect the same if they stick with Marvel.

Thousands of kids on Tumblr out here creating elaborate stories around linking 40 years of Legend of Zelda games…
Nintendo’s response: “This is very cool. Keep it up, kids. We thought about a plan for a hot second, but it stopped being fun, so we stopped.”🤷‍♀️

If you have a working uterus, you do not deserve to enjoy stress-free sex.”
That is all I hear when these people talk.
I’m surprised no one brought up Eve and the expulsion from Eden. That story was a favorite of my very Irish Catholic grandmother (who had eight children and multiple miscarriages).

Shaming Republicans has worked so well post-1981.

This is too weird. I loved Tolkein’s stories growing up (still do). Just the story of Smeagol alone—what ultimately happens to him—should make guys like Musk hate it. Love people, because things will never love you back.🤷‍♀️

He had that whole wall and all of that shelf space? Someone get this poor man a house plant or some books or something.

I realize my governor’s response to this human pimple was all forms of professional and respectful.
I do admit that there is a corner of my imagination where I let my very soft-spoken governor and AG just rhetorically rip rural reactionaries into ragged bits.🙂

Exactly. I’ve always had enough for the minimum deposit, so I didn’t understand how rigged the banking system was until the early oughts.
My naive, 20-something self wondering, “Why doesn’t everyone open free accounts?”
I’m so grateful to all the people that patiently explained it to me.

Yeah. I’m trying to wrap my head around how someone navigates health care if they don’t even have a bank. Doubtless, all the hammer and nail types would be aghast if someone told them there actually *are* unbanked Americans. Quite a few, if I’m not mistaken.

I think I finally realized how much trouble we were in when I listened to Alan Greenspan (waaaaaay back during the Baby Bush years) opining about how the market couldn’t touch all that yummy, yummy Medicare money. It was just SITTING THERE.
I remember thinking, “These people might be crazy.”

Yes, and one of the arguments for the ACA is that it would enable people to start businesses because they wouldn’t be chained to a job and its health insurance. Cassidy’s plan is anti-entrepreneurial, pro job lock.

I’d kind of like to know if Senator King floated any alternative tactics? I can think of bribery (easy one), appeasement (also bribery), and running away.
You know, Maine seems like a lovely state, but they might need to beef up the WWI thru WWII section of their public school history curriculum.🤔
