Yesterday, I finally found some robins eating berries. Yes, in this part of the world, where the “robins” are thrushes, they eat berries, unlike the original robins in Europe, that are flycatchers and eat bugs. Both bring joy to the season as #holidayrobin and we are grateful.

One of the more unique birds I got to photograph this year was a leucistic black-crowned night heron. In this photo I was able to capture its white feathers as it stretched its wings.

Went out to a local spot where there have been some eagles lately, and while there weren't as many this morning I did manage to capture this heron getting some breakfast.

This fall we had a celebrity bird visit that just about every photographer in the state came and took a photo of. Unlike many other birds it was not startled by the people and I really like this close up shot that I captured.
