Listened to the album ''This Wasn't Meant For You Anyway'' by Lola Young because i liked the clip that's been circulating on tiktok, It's SO good. 2024 has been an amazing year for music. My top three songs from the album are Messy, Conceited and Intrusive Thoughts.

as ever, if you're enjoying a book or a comic, please tell everyone you know to read it bc sharing their work and getting others to pick it up is the best way to make sure those creators keep working

My latest SFF book review column for the Washington Post covers three long-awaited books from some of the genre's best wordsmiths. These books feature heroes who are total screwups, amoral jerks, or both!

My favourite thing about reading classic books, is reading a line that has you going “mmm same, babes” to some author from hundreds of years ago and possibly from a whole other part of the world.
