There is no way we should be looking away instead of looking for ways to help out or save each other.
$1,131,794,901

That's how much Big Oil has spent over the last 30 years paying off Congress to look the other way on climate action while the planet burns.

Well, the planet is burning.
Don't let them look away.

Same thing goes for if any friends or family tell you to reject a queer person in your life. I'm not saying it'll be easy, but you will find people who love you unconditionally just as you are. Please don't let anyone convince you you're not worthy of being loved or not to love someone who needs it.

We are all going to need find ways to resist and stand up for others. Big or small, don't underestimate your ability to make a difference.
It’s December 1st and we should all pay homage to Rosa Parks today. On this day in 1955 she decided not to give her seat up on a bus in Alabama, and well the rest is history. We are all going to need to channel our Rosa Park’s for the next four years! Thank you Rosa for showing us how to #Resist

Worry is absolutely valid for anyone in the LGBTQIA community, but please remember that you're not alone and there are people who are going to fight like hell for you.

I don't think we can say this often enough.
This needs to be said, loud, and often.

The Washington Post Editorial Board just ran a piece condemning the ICC for seeking to hold Netanyahu accountable for genocide, and another OpEd calling on Biden to pardon Trump for insurrection.

When you’re defending war crimes and fascism, you’re no longer a newspaper—you’re a propaganda outlet.

I'm ready to do my part and I won't be giving up. Hopefully you won't either. Please remember, whoever you are and wherever you are, you're not alone.

Is every Republican voter a racist? Maybe not, but they have all decided it's not a deal breaker. Every one of them is aware of the racist and dehumanizing rhetoric towards immigrants, people of color and others. Apparently that's acceptable for them, but that is not OK for me. Not for a second.
My friend's 7-year-old asked her if the R next to a GOP Senator's name stands for "racist." I can't decide if I'm prouder of mother or son.

This is what I needed to hear today and a good reminder for us all. I love that about Bluesky so far in building a community founded on hope that we can face the future together.
Good morning, Blue Sky.

Being resilient is easier when you're surrounded by the right people.

Build communities that make you smarter and tougher for the battles ahead.

Never give up hope. Never stop fighting for what is right. And just.

Whatever comes our way, we will face it together.

Teachers are heroes and it's going to take an equally heroic effort to protect them, our kids and the whole educational system going forward. We will need education more than ever.
I’m an American teacher, and I’m worried.

I’m worried about losing special education and Title I funding, worried about the voucher scam, worried about Christian nationalism in public schools, and I’m tired of being scapegoated.

Education isn’t the problem.
Education is the solution.

Of course, this doesn't mean not to take action but no matter what we do, there will be damage. It's about limiting the damage, creating a world where we can repair things and saving lives. We need to recognize this and what we can do to make it safer in ways big or small.
Trumpism is like climate change: it's already here, it's done irreparable damage, and even if we take action now we'll be dealing with it's impact for the rest of our lives.

Why aren't we talking about this more? If it can happen there, it can certainly happen here. We need to be vigilant and loud about this heartbreaking issue. #LetHerLearn
It has been 1,164 days since the Taliban barred Afghan girls from attending school, robbing 1.4 million girls of their right to education. This is not only a tragedy but a global failure. #LetHerLearn

It's life or death for a lot of these marginalized groups. It's definitely worth fighting for and hope takes action.
Trump will use his power to attack our basic rights and target the most marginalized groups.

And we will be organizing to resist him at every turn — because our freedoms, our future, and our democracy are worth fighting for.

Hope requires action.
This is basically Dunkirk. After that the allies felt hopeless, four years later they crushed them. So will we

Spoiler alert: none of it.

Love is not a finite resource. We don't need to ration it or gatekeep it. We need to give it away as often as possible and make sure people feel heard, safe and loved at every opportunity.
There IS a left-wing agenda, and it’s to prioritize compassion over greed. Kindness isn't a limited resource.

Trans people deserve to exist and certainly deserve not to get harassed for doing so. It's that simple.
This is an echo of the general election. The trans Democrat is blamed for "sparking" the crisis despite the fact she did nothing beyond be herself.

Before she arrived to DC, or made any demands, the GOP preemptively turned her identity into a political issue.

So, who is doing identity politics?
all she did was exist
