Just a question here, if a Star Card id is good enough to get on a plane, why isn't it good enough to vote? 🤔

This is why government funding of the sciences isn't "waste" or "inefficient".
THIS IS HUGE! Researchers at The Jackson Laboratory and UConn Health have successfully discovered a molecular switch that can actually SHUT DOWN cancer growth signals and STOP tumor growth at the RNA LEVEL. The discovery could pave the way for a groundbreaking RNA-based multi-cancer treatment. 🧪🧵⬇️

Did my grocery shopping for the week this morning. While I don't have a set basket like the BLS, I was 15% above my average. No eggs in the basket. Have to admit that so far, I'm not better off than with the last president...

Federal spending of $6.75 Trillion is roughly 23% of US GDP. Even when spent on "Waste", it is money that flows back into entities who then pay their debts and expenses to other entities who then pay their debts etc. etc. etc.

Changes in spending should not be taken lightly.

A few weeks ago I saw a question floating around about a "Governor's Warrant" for an arrest. That would be what Gov. Hochul is refusing to issue.
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul said she will not comply with a request to extradite to Louisiana a New York doctor who faces a criminal charge there for allegedly prescribing abortion-inducing drugs despite a near-total abortion ban.
New York won’t comply with extradition of abortion provider, governor says
Louisiana is seeking to prosecute the doctor, who allegedly provided abortion medication to a minor there. The case is a key test for blue state “shield laws.”

Getting ready to head to Celebration of Life for a former co-worker. Reading her obituary, I find that we share the same doctors and our daughters ended up at the same college. We were not close friends, but the convergence of a small world is not lost on me.

If I was on a board of directors and the current CEO was off working some other job, I would really ask if I was getting my money's worth out of that CEO. Take that however you will.

9/10. Not too shabby.
Like millions of Americans, you probably have feelings about how the president should lead, what Congress should do and how the courts should rule, but do you know what gives them those powers?

Test your knowledge to see if you know as much about government as these middle-schoolers.
Do you know more civics than an eighth-grader?

My fear is that even if the current slate of nominees is denied, the backup option will be only a skosh less scary but confirmed just because they weren't as bad as the first choice.
