Sometimes tradition gives you a basic vocabulary to speak to the current times. Found this sketch of St. Michael conquering the dragon. And another serendipitous find of gessoed panel the exact size for it. My project to get me through 2026 when pretty still lifes and landscapes won't do.

Just wondering if conservative religious folks who think all charity should be private are going to make up the difference now and make sure no one goes hungry?

It takes a village. And coffee, it takes lots of coffee. And tums. The chewy ones.
And comfortable shoes. And a book just in case. And a coven of powerful witches who owe you a blood debt. That helps.
And tacos, it also takes tacos.

Someone once told me (a man) that I should try painting in more subtle colors. I didn't listen. These colors are my voice and I am shouting for a reason.

Last night was the 250th anniversary of Paul Revere's midnight ride to warn the Minutemen of approaching British troops.

I want to take a moment to share an excerpt from the Declaration of Independence's grievances against King George III.

Remind you of anyone?

In its simplest terms, the apparent demise of #USAID is the result of the world's richest man ending a program that helps millions of poor people. You don't need a Ph.D. in moral theology to see why this is an evil. You can just read Jesus's parables on the rich and the poor.
