Off to a new home. Always so pleased when a collector and an artwork find each other. So good for countering that screaming into the void feeling I have so often.

Sometimes tradition gives you a basic vocabulary to speak to the current times. Found this sketch of St. Michael conquering the dragon. And another serendipitous find of gessoed panel the exact size for it. My project to get me through 2026 when pretty still lifes and landscapes won't do.

Someone once told me (a man) that I should try painting in more subtle colors. I didn't listen. These colors are my voice and I am shouting for a reason.
