Seriously, what what the fuck is happening with the Democrats?

They don't even pretend to give a shit anymore, and yet so many people still stick up for them as "our only hope."

They really don't see how Democrats are helping to destroy America.

I don’t know who the Democrats are going to choose to run for president in 2028, but I really hope it’s not Kamala Harris or Gavin Newsom. We need someone more progressive, more sincere and more electable. Honestly I don’t even think this person is in the public eye yet but I hope they emerge soon.

When Harris was VP, the party had just enough votes to raise the minimum wage. The parliamentarian, a person Harris had full authority to just plain fire and replace, said Harris shouldn't do it that way. So Harris did nothing and the minimum wage remained unchanged. She just plain doesn't care.

He thinks his serving as Secretary of State will burnish his resume for a 2028 Presidential run.

IMHO I don't believe that any Republican can win after Trump has destroyed their viability and credibility.

Of course the Democrats are skilled at snatching defeat from jaws of victory.

Peace out...

MTG may not succeed. But to laugh or scorn her without a counter strategy would be foolish. We cannot cede the gains we are making from the Left. Reactionary centrism is a failed tactic -- failing globally multiple times since it emerged as a approach to counter extreme right wing gains. (5/6)

If she succeeds, MTG will revitalize malevolent nationalism by becoming in essence a rebooted DJT once he exits the stage or this world. Given America's deep history of misogyny, I believe the only woman the US will vote into office as a first female president, will be a conservative like her. (6/6)

There is a reason Mamdani had his portrait taken before FDR. Traditional Democrats will fail a second time if they do not heed the lesson from the past 20 years. The US needs a left-anchored popular movement or it will succumb to fascism again. We can do this if we embrace the obvious path. (4/6)

She will wear a reformed, kinder persona -- feigning to abandon toxicity, widen her appeal to include the broadest swath of people she can reach her targets: the very base DJT built and switch the base to an America First movement and steal the supply fueling what is now establishment MAGA. (3/6)

that whole 'this country isn't ready for a woman president' line is really upsetting because it shows exactly how neoliberalism works, redirecting blame from issues of policy (or lack thereof) onto a flattened, vague type of sexism in a way that ultimately doesn't even challenge sexism!

Hey 2028 Dems,

You should call for Schumer to go now. I promise it'll only help you.

Believe it or not they were actually only like +2 before Newsom actually decided to act like somewhat of an opposition to Trump, now they're closer to +3-4.

Every Democrat should be copying his tactics and style but combine it with an anti-corruption agenda.

Senate Democrats just lit all that work on fire.

If the Republicans really wanted to reopen the government, they could do it without the Democrats. The Democrats need to make the Republicans own this shutdown and all the suffering it is causing and they won't do that by capitulating with nothing to show for it.
