I MAILED MY BALLOT TODAY! TODAY!!! @baseballhall.org
I know this is meant to break democracy

but I think it's going to affect some Hall of Fame votes too
As of 12/24/25, USPS changed policy on when they postmark mail. Mail dropped off is no longer guaranteed a same-day postmark. Tax returns & other time-sensitive items are now stamped when they reach a regional processing center, which may be days later. Plan deadlines accordingly to avoid penalties.

Splashed a few drops of beer on my Hall of Fame ballot while finally filling it out. A little too on-brand, maybe.

First time getting to vote for the Hall of Fame. It’s an honor and I spent a lot of time with the ballot.

Ballot #79 from a first-time voter. Congratulations Ben and thanks for sharing it!
A privilege to vote for the Hall of Fame. Here’s my ballot.

(And btw! Not trying to persuade anyone they should agree with me. This is just where I landed after lots of thought & discussion)

Today was an exciting day. I mailed my Hall of Fame vote to Cooperstown. I'm a first time voter but a long time beat writer (24 years). This is an honor I'm not taking lightly.

Great question! In my case, I had six holdovers and seven others I seriously considered. Utley and Hernandez were a cut above the others. The rest were bunched too closely and too borderline. So I passed. Reconsidering candidates is part of voting, IMO. I added Abreu and Pettitte last year.

Summary:

- Beltrán and Jones on track for election; each has flipped 4/11 “no” from 2025
- Félix Hernández is absolutely cooking; if he were to keep up this current pace he would see a final % jump of over 38 points
- Lots of positive news for several down-ballot candidates
- STILL VERY EARLY!

Here's your first look at how things stand based on flip rate. While there are a few more nuanced factors, the data essentially looks to quantify:

If voters "changed minds" No to Yes at the current pace, what would be each candidate's expected final result?
