Also with this ballot, based on our estimate of 428 total ballots cast this year, Cole Hamels has safely secured 5% and a spot on a second ballot next year.

Great question! In my case, I had six holdovers and seven others I seriously considered. Utley and Hernandez were a cut above the others. The rest were bunched too closely and too borderline. So I passed. Reconsidering candidates is part of voting, IMO. I added Abreu and Pettitte last year.
