Low-volume provider of high quality, bespoke skeets.

Data center, HPC, networking nerd.

My ADHD makes me vacillate between filling this in with a mini resumé and things like 'aspiring llama rodeo clown'.

Leftist, but not *that* kind.

Happy Mother's Day!

This morning I made my wife a proposal of an intimate nature, the word for which I suppose could be misheard.

To my surprise, she agreed (normally she needs at least coffee first). I proceeded down under the sheets. She stopped me, asking:

"Hey, where's my cuddleandkiss?"

I'm sure they're thinking of a solution, but it's kind of ironic that this massive datacenter initiative is building out in Texas, the state with the most notoriously unstable power grid in America www.theverge.com/2025/1/21/24...

Have we done the "Trump is a weakling" discourse to try to pull off a William Henry Harrison 2.0 yet?

@thebrianlehrershow.bsky.social I can't believe you're letting your guest lively get away with asserting that de-platforming didn't work when what actually happened is that the large social platforms were taken over by conservatives and conservative content was being algorithmically promoted

My father-in-law fed my wife's novel manuscript into an AI tool without her permission, because he thought it would be cool to have it make a fake 'podcast' of people discussing her book.

I'm at a loss to be able to explain to him just how badly he fucked up, in so many ways.

Every single concession to security theatre that the US has made since 2001 - the Patriot Act, data collection at the border, surveillance - is going to be in the hands of Kash Patel. This is why we say to build security systems with the worst of governments in mind, not the best.

The Anacostia encampment is the setting for a number of chapters in Polostan, the new book by Neal Stephenson I'm reading atm. The thirties of his narrative are chock full of parallels to today

Syria is the most displaced nation on Earth.

60% of its population - 14M people - forced from their homes by the regime’s brutality.

Today, a golden thread has connected cities around the world as the Syrian diaspora gather to celebrate the end of Assad.

A thousand times this! And the media is complicit!
We shouldn’t accept that a CEO killer must get a national manhunt when cops don’t solve most murders at all. A migrant teenager was just murdered in NYC, cops just killed a guy here — the lives of these other people are worth just as much as that CEO.
