(1) it doesn't sound like you have those negative motives. (2) make the suggestion in service of aiding their argument. "XXX found a similar effect, using Y method. Consider citing them to bolster your argument and make clear the theory has more observable implications (KKV language)." My 2 cents.

100% agree. Don't gotta sell me on that. Partly embarrassed, it wasn't on my radar as I was literally writing the IRB while listening to oral arguments. Empirically, it's a nice addition to the lit showing those predictable and stable drops in legitimacy pre/post Roe being overturned.

About to IRB a study on court legitimacy Monday/tuesday. Currently using a version of the Stimson measures at the moment. I have to spend the cheddar before mid Nov. currently just a three arm experiment with a few pretest items. lmk if you think something in particular should get thrown in.
