This is a bit stupid but related to my thread - Some people are so horrendously online that their takes make me sick to even be on the same side of the political spectrum as them. I can't even imagine what Joe Blow on the street would think when they see some of the takes that float around.

The 2024 election loss was the inevitable result of Democrats abandoning working class and rural voters, and attempting to lure in Mitt Romney fans instead, and if they don't learn from this, Democrats will not win elections again.

My Molar Mac post seemed well liked so here's another machine. This is my 12" PowerBook G4, with a 1.5 GHz PowerPC G4 and 1.25 GB RAM. I've installed Sorbet Leopard onto it to get newer programs. Yes, the battery does work for an hour or two!

This is the Castlewood ORB drive. It's a hard drive platter based removable cartridge format for data storage and backup. It competed with the more popular SyQuest (literally the same technology) and Iomega Jaz format

Breaks my heart to see $10bn in transit funding to…rebuild one bus terminal. This is regional rail-level money, the kind of money that should dramatically improve commutes, not cement shitty ones in place. Wish this was going to something like this instead: pedestrianobservations.com/2019/05/29/a...

"Don't Engage, Just Block" is having a real effect and you can tell it's frustrating the bots, chuds and trolls. They're in my comments trying everything they can to get people there to react -- and no one's biting. And then I swing by and chuck 'em into the cornfield and that's that.
As long as we keep a culture of disengaging and blocking trolls we actually can probably keep the vibes up.
