Called my congressman who voted for the SAVE act.

Me: What documents will I need to vote if this passes?
Staffer: a DL and birth certificate.
Me: The documents don’t match
Staffer: Then a marriage certificate.
Me: Will my husband need the marriage certificate too?
Staffer: No
Me: See the problem?

Can we stop calling these atrocities "deportations." These people sold to El Salvadorian prisons were not deported. Deportation is a process that did not take place. They were rounded up and removed with no process. They were kidnapped, not deported.

That’s some passion I want to see.
Sen. Tammy Duckworth calls on Pete Hegseth to resign:

"Pete Hegseth is a f*cking liar. This is so clearly classified info he recklessly leaked that could've gotten our pilots killed. He needs to resign in disgrace immediately."

It’s worth stating this simply: For literally anyone in the US Govt from 1945 to 2025, Signalgate would require an instant resignation—and a criminal investigation. It would be a matter of personal *honor* to resign. The fact Mike Waltz & Pete Hegseth are choosing to fight it out is a terrible omen.

Hegseth, Waltz and company texting war plans to a reporter on signal is just the tip of the iceberg. This whole administration is full of incompetent, inexperienced, and unqualified clowns. Our national security is compromised in ways we’re just beginning to understand.

What a disgrace.
Wow. What is happening here with Hegseth?

It's critical for everyone to remember what an Executive Order is. It is the President communicating orders to members of the executive branch. Policies to pursue, actions to take, etc. They are not laws. They are not close to being laws. They are formalized memos to employees. That's all.

Buttigieg: What if this had, in fact, gone to somebody else? I mean, somebody who could plausibly be in some of these people's cell phones. I don't know, the Chinese ambassador or Russian negotiator.

And the other question on my mind is how many other times has something like this happened?

I mean very obviously Hegseth should resign, and if it were a Democratic administration this would be quickly be a consensus position.

Gabbard answered many questions about topics that are "under review." She obviously refused to answer questions that would have led to damaging or embarrassing admissions, including here:
REED: Were you oversees during any part of these discussions?

GABBARD: Yes I was

REED: Were you using your private phone or public phone for Signal?

GABBARD: I won't speak to this because it's under review

REED: What is under review? It's a very simple question

Obviously, Jeffrey Goldberg has the texts that Hegseth claims that he doesn’t have. The Senate or House Armed Services Chairs can easily and quickly verify who is lying about this. If Hegseth blatant lied about this on camera tonight, how in the world can he continue in this job?

He was not dead.
I found a ‘dead’ person collecting Social Security in Seattle
“Dead” Ned Johnson turns out to be very much alive. It took him weeks to convince the system he was breathing and to start clawing his benefits back.

Among the material devastation to everyday people, Senate Dems have now blown a hole in their ability to work with the House.

We had an agreed upon plan, House took immense risk, then Senate turned around midway and destroyed it w/ a fear-based, inexplicable abdication.

They own what happens next.

…in the House too.
Reporter: Is it time for new leadership in the Senate?
