#NCGA lawmakers could do more to protect NC from rising costs in healthcare. But rather than help make basic needs more accessible, lawmakers are giving another $1B in tax cuts that will primarily benefit the richest 1% and corporations on Jan 1.
How Trump’s ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ Is Shaking Up Health Care in N.C.
Some people on the private market are already seeing higher health insurance premiums, and thousands who rely on Medicaid could lose coverage.

America has 925 billionaires as of this year. Collectively they have a record $6.9 trillion in wealth.

The bottom 50% of Americans control $4.2 trillion in wealth.

When 925 people control more wealth than half a country’s population, we have a very serious problem.

In the midst of all the outcry over Pam Bondi covering up the Epstein Files on behalf of her client, Donald Trump, it’s useful to remember she also helped him cover up the Trump University scandal as Florida’s AG for a measly $25,000 payout. This coverup just costs more—like, American democracy.

U.S. military spending is set to hit a record $1 trillion.

Roughly half of defense spending goes to private contractors that routinely price-gouge the government.

Meanwhile, the Pentagon has failed seven straight audits.

This is the military industrial complex on steroids.

And so the cycle continues: Trump wrecks the market with his own policies, then uses taxpayer money to bail out the damage, and somehow sells it back to voters as a win. Truly exhausting.
Trump is giving another $12 billion of taxpayer money to bail out farmers again from his disastrous policies. Just like he had to bail them out in his first term from his disastrous policies. But they will continue to vote Republican, as long as they keep getting their welfare checks.

After a "double-tap" strike was ordered to kill survivors of an initial attack on a so-called "drug boat," the White House has tried to gaslight the American people by fabricating their own reality. This spin is the latest in a pattern of denial and distortion at the highest levels of government.

This is not a “peace deal”. It’s a 28-point surrender plan drafted and leaked to US media by Russia, and Trump treated it like it was his own. Rubio admitted as much to senators.

This is shaping up to be a train wreck.
