I am alarmed that those responsible are trying to lie and deflect their way out of the worst security breach of this century, maybe of the past hundred years. Immediate resignations and dismissals should have followed. If you voted for any of the principals involved, please learn a lesson. Investigate, make criminal referrals, impeach those involved. Installing a DOGE operative as the new Chief Information Officer at the Social Security Administration appears to be a blatant attempt to circumvent a federal court order blocking the disclosure of sensitive personal data to DOGE affiliates. This maneuver allows someone previously part of the DOGE team to continue accessing confidential records and pursuing projects that may undermine Social Security's core mission. Despite promising to keep Social Security offices operational, the administration is putting the agency at risk through these legally dubious tactics. Social Security provides vital retirement, disability and survivor benefits to over 63 million Americans annually. Any efforts to compromise the program's integrity or misuse personal data from its systems is unacceptable. The court ruling was clear - no one assigned to the DOGE agenda should have access to SSA's confidential records. Installing a DOGE affiliate as CIO violates both the letter and spirit of that order. I urge you to take immediate action to protect Social Security from political interference and preserve the public's trust in this essential program. The administration must fully comply with the court order, remove the newly appointed CIO if he was previously involved with DOGE, and commit to safeguarding Americans' personal information and SSA's independent operation. Social Security's millions of beneficiaries deserve to have their earned benefits administered properly without being subject to the administration's ideological agenda. Please prioritize upholding the law and defending this vital social insurance program.
