I suppose it's a good week to be offline if one is sensitive. Most of us can already guess or have read firsthand accounts, but we may be unwillingly exposed to details we'd rather not hear about. I'll try to keep the timeline mostly rated G/PG. I need to mainly focus on work & organizing my studio

I was a journalism major for one year, which included writing for the school paper, and it improved my media literacy. I had an existential crisis at one point, summarizing one WSJ article after another. Just the sudden realization that all this was written by humans, with all their biases.

Big mistake to confuse between being "in the club" (as George Carlin put it) and being a tool for someone who is.

Theodore Roosevelt was 42 when he became president. Joe Biden and Donald Trump are the oldest presidents to take office at the age of 78. The Boomers didn't see why it was important to transition, clawed on to power until the end, and it's just gonna be a night/day thing. I give it a couple of years
from the perspective of our million-year-old leaders, 55-yo Jeffries is fresh blood, and AOC and Mamdani, both in their 30s, old enough to converse about mortgages, insurance, washing machine brands, are children who need to be disciplined. (I am Jeffries' age, we qualify for some seniors' benefits)
