Makes me wonder what they're teaching these days. I don't think I had an extraordinary education. I wasn't the best student, either. Just perplexed how such a large chunk of the population is so easily misled. Have to conclude that for many, it's willful ignorance.

That was also around the time that I took a sociology class which introduced me to social theory in way that they hadn't delved into in high school. Also learned about evolution & ecology. Real readjustment of personal philosophy and perspective. Mind you, this was in Texas in a conservative town.
