I get the MTA getting rid of the MetroCard. Swiping sucks a$$. However, not everyone has a debit/credit card or a phone. They should at least replace with some kind of tap card like EVERY OTHER subway system has. This way, you have an option for students, elderly and the homeless

Now that I no longer live in NYC, the argument about what is considered "upstate" has expanded to "western New York". My view was always this picture. But now I also wonder, do any other states use the term "upstate"

You can say Substack should host Nazis, but don't pretend there's some "free speech" principle to it. Substack has a strict ban on pornography. Welcoming Nazis while banning sex workers isn't a principled stand, it's a choice, an expression that you like the former and dislike the latter.

As others have noted, this article may be studio propaganda to dishearten WGA folks, but a) it's just gonna piss them off more, b) it prompted me to donate to the Entertainment Community Fund. Fuck the studios, I'm paying for a WGA member's groceries today, gotta keep strength up on the picket line
