Yep so I managed to get myself so worked up that I did an extra newsletter this week. But sweet Christ, the standard of the coverage is so poor, so patently in line with far-right preferences, that it was either this or scream at strangers in the street.

Very useful article, because the next patient you see might have Down syndrome. You will need to see the person, & their symptoms, not get distracted by the syndrome while recognising higher risks for some conditions. Also importance of listening to family & other carers.

Frankly, I'm astonished that these aren't run everywhere. It's such a simple system that adds in a layer of fast, effective, high quality intervention for patients, that also has a much needed relief for the UEC system and our GP practices.
It also costs about 1/3 a UTC appt and 1/10th an ED appt.
