I refuse to recognize 2026 as a year. It must first prove to me that it is worthy of being a year. Until then, we will all operate on successive iterations of December 31st, 2025, each day differentiated by it's number in the sequence.

Sometimes I find myself in someone's house and I see that their computer desk is small with only a moderately-sized monitor at most. If fact, their desk might not have a computer at all. That's when I realize this person is normal and has a life.

As far as I can tell, at some point in every man's life, he must acquire at least one hobby that involves spending exorbitant amounts of money on items with price tags that cannot be rationally justified.
