Follow Australian Rules Football. For those who don’t know . Here’s a link explaining it https://youtu.be/u_SqfNNfhmM?si=v_P6x5sJ2ytBaE7w
Actually last weekends games in one round were the closest since 1970
Are most Aussie Rules games lopsided? I feel like only catch the ones that are lol

@samvecenie.bsky.social love all the analysis on your podcast. I know you are a cricket fan, but haven't heard you mention Aussie rules, which i fell in love with over COVID. They have solved instant replay. All sports should learn.

I wish I could figure out all the rules of Australian Rules Football because it is one of the most exciting and chaotic sports I've ever seen.

There's something primally satisfying about watching a large slab of man run into another on purpose.

See if you can find some Australian Rules Football to watch. Imagine rugby crossed with basketball running and passing. Amazing game to watch.

As a Canadian, I have to admit that those guys down under who play Australian Rules Football are tougher MFers than our hockey players. I don't think they *ever* put their elbows down!

Oh look, Aussie rules football is on. It's fun to watch even though I have zero clue what the fork is going on. And I probably won't be able to watch it all cause it's 130am here.

Rugby är och förblir den coolaste sporten (tillsammans med Aussie rules football). Amerikansk fotboll töntigast.

I remember going to watch an Aussie Rules game with friends at the Oval many years ago. It was raucous but fun. Channel 4 used to show some games and we got into it. I recall the very noisy crowd started lobbing drinks cans at each other. It wasn't like the county championship crowds I am used to!

Then you'll love Aussie rules football. When I had cable I'd write down dates when they played. If I lived in Australia I would work for free selling anything just to be in the stadium.

I was channel surfing the first time I saw it. I was hooked instantly! It's a riot to watch. 😍 American football is so wussy with padding and helmets. And these guys knocking each other around in just t-shirts and shorts and you rarely see someone hurt.

Love aussie rules. What an utter mongrel of a game it is. A bit of touch, a bit of league, a bit of union, a bit of gaelic. No soccer. Pass it up, left, right, forwards, backwards. Have a wrestle. Who cares. Never-ending ways to score points, and you get rewarded for catching the ball. Beautiful 🤌

Watching Australian Rules Football, and it kind of looks like what you'd get if put a bunch of basketball players on a cricket field, gave them a rugby ball, and told them to play rugby without showing them the rules, but with more mullets.
