I’m saving this for later, but some of you might need it today. I give you a poem that is one of my most treasured seasonal rituals: Winter Solstice, Camelot Station, by John M Ford.

(I miss him and I never even met him)

That it has meant as much to so many of you fills me up to the brim.

I chatted a moment with Ron Glass and commiserated about wearing hard contact lenses. He wore them in the two-person story 'Eye of Newton' in the revived Twilight Zone series in the 1980's and you could tell they were pretty uncomfortable.
Right folks. Feeling rather down at the moment so bringing back an oldie

If you're an Indiana resident and would like to know what Sen. Jim Banks will do to make up for the slash-and-burn approach to health care *besides* taunting unemployed workers like an asshole, give him a call!

Fort Wayne office: 260-321-7130
A fired HHS worker asks a senator about layoffs that are hurting services for “people with disabilities” and asks what he’ll do to help them.

Once the senator is safely behind his staff in the elevator, he ignores the suffering & replies that the worker is a “clown” who “deserved” to be fired.
NEW — This AM former HHS staffers confronted Sen. Jim Banks (R-IN) about slashing budgets and staff, per video shared with me by Mack Schroeder, a former Budget Analyst for the Office of the Secretary.

Banks tells Schroeder he "probably deserved" to lose his job "because you seem like a clown."
