I'm reading Parable of the Talents, it's absolutely insane to me how accurately she is writing about Trump and his followers. I had to double check multiple times that I was in fact reading a book from 20+ years ago.

For what it's worth, I agree.
Can't stress this enough: Democrats need to eject the Scarboroughs and Cheneys from the movement, embrace the AOCs, Warrens and Crocketts, then decide what they stand for, dig a foxhole and defend it to the end.

let me be very clear that if you’re making the “the democrats should distance themselves from trans issues” argument now, you would have been on the side of “maybe AIDS is simply what gay people deserve” in the 1980s and 1990s
