Will Zohran Mamdani run as the WFP candidate in November if he loses tonight's Democratic primary?

Many have assumed he will, but one thing you should know about both Mamdani and DSA is that they won't get involved in unwinnable races: www.cityandstateny.com/politics/202...
Many expect Zohran Mamdani to take the WFP line if he loses to Cuomo. That’s far from a sure thing
Mamdani could run in the general election as the candidate of the Working Families Party, but he and the Democratic Socialists of America don’t bother with unwinnable races.

Except Whitney Tilson - who is currently hitting Zohran for not wanting more cops in his public safety plan
So far the vibe on stage is definitely let's unite against Andrew Cuomo
We're looking to see whether stronger coalitions or divisions emerge here. Will fellow progressives turn against co-front-runner Zohran Mamdani? Or might we see an OFFICIAL cross endorsement?

Moderate Dems have criticized Gov. Kathy Hochul's proposal to make some people convicted of violent felonies eligible for early release from prison.

But last year, the state prison system itself proposed making even more people eligible for early release. www.cityandstateny.com/policy/2025/...
DOCCS wanted people convicted of violent crimes to be eligible for early release
A “program bill” circulated last year would have dramatically expanded eligibility for merit time programs that allow incarcerated people to earn time off of their sentences
