Forgot to mention, I’m hooked enough on Ball x Pit that I’m doing a few rounds between other games. I’m not losing hours at a time to it, but I do want to keep unlocking characters, balls, and stages and maybe see it through.

I’m shit at organizing and managing my town, though. It’s a mess.
The wife talked me into downloading Ball x Pit last night because she really likes it, but it’s not clicking with me at all yet. Did it take any of you a while to get hooked on it or is was it more immediate? I wonder if there’s a layer I’ve yet to peel back yet.

Wrapped up the first season of Bat-Fam on Prime Video. It’s a cozy, silly, mostly low-stakes family-friendly Batman series that’s very easy to recommend to those of you who want something to watch with your kids who aren’t quite ready for the typically darker, more mature world of Batman/DC.

I’m 81% map completion in Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment and it’s just become crystal clear that I’m gonna have to grind my ass off to see this one to 100% completion or beat all battles. Some enemy attacks are now taking 1/3 health even when my fighter is a couple levels higher than them.

Despite an attempt to avoid 3D platformers until SpongeBob, I’ve kept playing Spyro 2. Man, this game looks so impressive. Lush, colorful, magical environments, cartoony and well-animated NPCs and enemies bursting with personality, and lighting that highlights these attributes and brings it to life.

Back in middle school I got invited to spend the night at this kid’s house and I wasn’t interested but my parents talked me into it. His mom rented us Genesis games and one game had a water level early on, and the kid got SUPER excited and said “I love water levels!” I never talked to him again.

Gotta figure whether I want SpongeBob on Switch or PS5. Switch makes most sense for the loose Joy-Con option, but I had a few bizarre visual issues with the Switch demo that I didn’t have when I played it on PS5.

Anyone know when the review embargo is lifting on this one?

I’m sick. The wife is sick. She’s on the couch sleeping it off, but I can’t support my body easily in bed beyond routine sleep hours, so I’m in the office chair zoning out trying to find something to do that will hold my attention and distract me. I can say this: it’s not the second Avatar movie.

It’s a crime there’s no Rauru amiibo.

I’m close to finishing Hyrule Warriors, and SpongeBob and Kirby are my next major purchases… I need to find something to keep me proper busy until then. My health has been putting me through it, and I’m back to being medically experimented on, so I need consistent distractions to escape and reset.

Picked up a copy of Forspoken forever ago because I found the critical reception fascinating and knew at some point I needed to experience the game for myself. Thought tonight was finally the night but the opening is so slow I just fell asleep playing. May have to come back to this one another time.

That Game Pass price hike is hitting me soon and I don’t think I use it enough to justify the bump. I’m probably better off playing on Switch 2 or PS5 when I can and just pay for the timed Xbox exclusives I wanna play at launch. Think that means I gotta buy PowerWash Sim 2 on S2 and start over. 🤷‍♂️

This is cool. I like the original cover, but I think I prefer the colorful, vibrant, cartoony look of the prototype art on the left a bit more.
Among the palm-sweating amount of rare goodies here, to my purpose I'm gonna point out this prototype of the TM2 cover which follows basically the same idea but a lot more jazz paper cup colored (for lack of better wording). Very neat!

Would really like this one to get a 60 fps / 4K upgrade on Switch 2 before I finally make the time for it (already own a copy), but it’s starting to feel that like that may not be happening.

All of this AND the DLC content?!! Really stoked how Sega’s handling this game. There’s been some balancing issues online this past weekend (either that or I got terrible out of nowhere), but otherwise I’m incredibly satisfied with this one. Still miss Sumo, but not as much as I thought I would.

So there’s a little Star Fox in my Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment?

I am more than OK with this. I’ll take it where I can get it.

Yeah, I’m really feeling this game.
After nearly two decades of disinterest and/or frustration with Warriors games and spinoffs, Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity and Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes expanded on game worlds and their stories in meaningful ways that won me over. So far Age Of Imprisonment seems to be doing the same.

Awesome. I’m on PS5 for this one, but my wife opted for Switch 2. Glad we’ll be having a similar experience soon. We still play online together regularly.

Don’t skip this game if you’ve been let down by Mario Kart World and want a kart racer that gives you reason to keep playing.

If I were going to play one of these games alone, which would be the better experience: Gotham Knights or Suicide Squad? I will say I’m a pretty big Court Of Owls fan.

This isn’t getting annoying at all. But what are you gonna do? 🤷‍♂️

The moderates and fascists are going to be terrified. They’re going to be desperate and, just like we saw with Cuomo, they’re going to increasingly side with one another.

That’s what history teaches us and it’s on us to be ready for the fight. And, if we are, we will win.

Still having a ball with Once Upon A Katamari. There are a couple flaws that can annoy (an obstructed view, the king blabbing over gameplay), but otherwise it’s such a jolly experience with that arcade nature that keeps you coming back for a higher score or missed collectibles.

Doubt this is going to get many responses at 2AM, but what’s your favorite movie by Denis Villeneuve?
