And I keep playing and playing and thinking “Other than it being built around motion controls, this is such a great Zelda game. It keeps getting better and better.”

Until moments ago when I did my first silent realm of this playthrough. I forgot about silent realms. I don’t like the silent realms.
It’s such a shame that Skyward Sword is mechanically flawed at its foundation, because in many ways this is the best and most interesting a traditional 3D Zelda has ever been.

I booted up the HD version the other day for a taste, but, despite my frustrations with the controls, I just keep playing.

Spending the weekend with Skyward Sword and these weirdos.

Ya, that’s likely what I’ll end up doing. Just sucks because I’ve been wanting something new now before these Switch 2 ports and new games start releasing in a steady cadence. I’m tempted by Dynasty Warriors and FFVII (never played it), and then Feb has some promising shit right away (DQ & Nioh).

And then this is in my feed as soon as I post my concerns about buying this game in its current state.
Big Hops is a new and neat 3D platformer but losing two hours of play to a crash is pretty deflating. 😔

I’d really like to play Big Hops. The reviews are solid, but I continue to read negative things about performance, as well as bugs that interfere with completing the game. Seems to be an issue on all consoles to varying degrees. Have I missed announcements from the dev about further fixes incoming?

Wow. For some reason this doesn’t feel THAT long ago. It’s probably partially due to my warped sense of time from being stuck in my house for years, but damn… life is, like, flying by.
9 years ago today, ‘Regular Show’ ended on Cartoon Network.

Still surprised I haven’t heard more about POPUCOM. The wife and I have been slowly making our way through it, and it’s a standout couch co-op experience. I mentioned this before, but the only real complaint I have is that the performance can get rocky on Switch 2. opencritic.com/game/18624/p...

What about the social features, like the shared island stuff? I could see that being a draw if it functions kinda like Minecraft. The wife and I thought it might be a fun way to play together or with the nieces and nephews if it saves everything and lets everyone contribute their own creations.

Other than The Elephant and Primal S3, is there any animation worthy of attention right now? I’m craving something new.

Finished Trails 1st Chapter a few days ago. This is going to be my next RPG and my first true experience with Dragon Quest. I decided to hold off on 1 & 2 and 3 for now because I didn’t want to overdo it, and this one seems much more interesting to me even if it’s based on presentation alone.

So, how’s that new Animal Crossing update treating those of you playing it? Is it a worthy reason to revisit the game? My island is still trapped on my launch model Switch, which I haven’t touched since getting the OLED and eventually the Switch 2.

Sorta inadvertently started playing through Insomniac’s PS4 & PS5 catalog and think I’m gonna see it through.

So far I’ve played Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Spider-Man Remastered, and now I’m on Ratchet & Clank (2016). Miles Morales next.

I’d also like to beat Song Of The Deep for the first time.

Predator: Badlands was a heck of a lot of fun. What a nice surprise. Prey, Killer Of Killers, and now this… it’s just getting better and better. Can’t wait to see what comes next. I was never a huge fan of this series, but I’m all in now.
January 10, 2026 at 8:41 AM
I love their Spider-Man games, and I’m no doubt looking forward to Wolverine, but as I replay Rift Apart for the first time, I wish PS/Insomniac could get a Ratchet & Clank out the door every few years or so.

I think I did all the Astro Bot things and now I want more. Like, right now.
January 6, 2026 at 1:16 AM
Back to Astro Bot for the first time since launch. First time on a TV. First time with any of the DLC. This game is incredible. I can’t believe I sorta let it slip from mind and started thinking it was great but not special. It’s special. It feels like THE PS5 game. You must play it if you haven’t.

Fellow Sektori players, which is your preferred mode? I was playing campaign most but I’ve since shifted to classic. The wife likes gates a lot.

If I have one complaint about this game, I wish the difficulty increased a bit more gradually. Never has a twin-stick shooter kicked my ass this severely.

Started Popucom tonight with the wife. So far it’s an interesting and fun co-op game with some slightly annoying performance issues. It’s kinda like Splatoon meets Split Fiction meets match-three puzzler.

Anybody play this one yet?
