Almost let this trilogy slip by me entirely. So glad I didn’t. It’s really damn good, really fun, and it’s making me hope we get to see Spyro have his Crash 4 moment one day. The series deserves another chance. Shame the popularity of Skylanders wasn’t leveraged to bring it back years and years ago.

Was also messing with Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage, and that was fun, but I’m not sure a 3D platformer’s what I should play when the next new game I’m getting (SpongeBob: Titans Of The Tide) is also a 3D platformer. So yah, kinda don’t know what to play or do, and thought I’d blather on about it. 🙂

Finally tried to watch it because we now have a modern TV setup and I want to see it before I play the game after next month’s update, but I couldn’t keep up with who was who and it just wasn’t hitting. Think I’ll break it up and watch it in a few sittings. It did look and sound nice enough.

I have plenty of time-killers but not enough games to keep my focus for long periods of time, for longer sessions. I’m about to revisit Ultros and give it another try, but I’m doubtful that’s gonna hit either.

Did any of you enjoy this game? I know it had some fans, but I never saw anyone speak passionately about it. And I never hear it come up these days – and I listen to, like, all the podcasts and read when I can.

I don’t hate it or anything but I’m not itching for another round and rarely have the urge to boot it up beyond the hope that “maybe this time it’ll click.” Gonna stick with it a little longer. Beat a level and unlocked a couple characters now.

Honestly nuts. With no content roadmap or DLC, they must’ve thought MK could do no wrong and it would be a massive hit no matter what. It’s selling well, but dedicated Nintendo players just aren’t stickin with it. At this point they either don’t have enough content ready to revive interest and…
