For Trump and his cronies, the cruelty is the point. While the Trump administration refuses to fund SNAP, our state leaders are failing to step up and fill the gap. Kemp— fund food assistance now.

Anyway I just signed up to read with little kids on Wednesday mornings before work.

New from me in @newrepublic.com: “Primary Every Democrat.”

If the current crop cannot demonstrate they care more about democracy than enjoying three-day weekends, we should flood the zone and challenge them all.
Primary Every Democrat
It’s exhausting to watch poll-tested, donor-beholden congressional Democrats continue to be too old, too cloistered, and too bumbling to do anything as the government burns.

Not at all concerning that an administration that has vowed to use its surveillance powers on domestic political opponents has dismantled the one board that had quasi-power to police abuses of intelligence powers.
News: The three Democratic members of the Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board—a government panel that reviews national-security surveillance programs for privacy implications—were fired today after refusing to resign as instructed last week by the White House.

Personally, I chose to cut those toxic folks out of my life. I’m not down with racism, misogyny or bigotry no matter who you are.
