Finally - a Capsicum flexuosum flower!

Hopefully the first of many. Hopefully viable seeds to come.

An open flower of the wild pepper species Capsicum flexuosum, with a second flower bud out of focus in the background. The five petals are joined together along half their length, giving a slightly campanulate form. Whilst predominantly white, the bottom half of each petal is yellowy-green, more pronounced on the inside of the flower, and the top half is mottled delicately with purple. The anthers are bright orange.

Willow trees are amazing! We cut a branch off to plant in another location in our yard but trimmed a bit more towards the main trunk.

I put this branch in a little water so it didn’t dry out and die and it turned green in just a few hours.
