Ok here's the pitch. It's a visual podcast. The hosts are small toys that live in a boardgame shelf. Animation is very minimal and choppy but cute. They record their owners chatting about the games they play and use the audio as they put on a little show. Low poly/res 3D. Monthly.

hell yeah. thank you megan! May Alora be with you!
If you have any questions, feel free to swing by the discord (link in bio) we have a channel dedicated to miru where folks share their maps and ask questions and such. Good luck!
It's always a pleasure to swing by @shop.peregrinecoast.press whenever they are at a convention. I showed exceptional restraint and picked up one thing this time, but oh ye gods, it's nearly Dragonmeet so...

Anyway, I grabbed a copy of Miru by @hinokodo.com as I keep hearing great things!

Wyrmspan and Apiary designer Connie Vogelmann has taken the plunge into full-time board game design following the huge success of her first two creations - and the destruction she says is being caused by Donald Trump in her former career as a grants law attorney:

Yikes! Our tendencies to consolidate must be pushed against.
lmao nearly every major tabletop platform or website hosts on Cloudflare, which is currently shitting the metaphorical bed.

Kickstarter, Backerkit, and Gamefound. But also itch, Roll20, DTRPG. Effectively the whole online RPG market is offline.

How important is box size for you? We're gonna stick with 2 sizes; "large" and "small" (9x9" and 5x9") as both of these sizes fit in my backpack and I know that games that are portable get taken to places and are more often played. (More chances anyways)
Is there too small? Too large of a box?

A few of us designers have been privileged to follow along while @stoutstoat.co.uk chipped away at this project for the last few years.

It's something new. An interactive history book like the kind you'd maybe read as a kid, but with the combined powers of archaeology and game design.
Game designers bring to life to Scotland's mysterious Picts
Writers and archaeologists also worked on a new guide to a lost early medieval Scottish society.

Carved in Stone is officially out!

In this comprehensive setting guide you'll be able to see, touch, taste, hear and smell your way through everything that modern-day scholars currently know of the enigmatic culture of the Picts, from the perspective of someone living in the late 7th Century.

The Picts were always more than their blue-painted, bloodthirsty depictions. Carved in Stone, a new setting guide from @stoutstoat.co.uk and archaeologist Heather Christie, invites players to explore their incomplete but beautiful history.
Carved in Stone is both a history book and an eye-catching RPG
Publisher Brian Tyrrell and archeologist Heather Christie paint a pretty Pict-ure.

some early saturday design work. Expanding on this mancala train idea I had some time ago. What if something like Ostia and 18xx had a baby. (Elseware Express vol2?) Idea is on your turn, you pick an action, train tokens on it are X. 'buy x, build x, etc' then you mancala them around the track.

Through DLC, @bgstatsapp.bsky.social lets you see your cost per play for #boardgames. This hobby is cheaper than going to the movies, but only if you play a game 2+ times. 😜
Do you aim for a certain cost per play? Is this too much detail and eyes should be averted?
What's your best bang for buck?

Life is just a blink. We get a handful of years and it's gone. Our time here is so fleeting on this floating speck in space. We must promise our limited corpses a few pleasures while we're conscious to enjoy them.

It was nice seeing everyone i guess. ha!
