1. Protests have erupted at multiple hospitals across the United States that have decided to comply with Trump's executive order banning trans care under 19.

Now, a lawsuit challenges that EO.

Writer Mira Lazine writes about the importance of the protests.

Protests Erupt Across US At Hospitals Complying With Trumps Unlawful Under-19 Trans Ban EO
Demonstrators argue that hospitals should stand as a bulwark against Trump and should care for all of their patients, rather than comply without a fight.

Donald Trump has just released a national under 18 trans care ban executive order. I am working through specifically how it tries to do this, and will live tweet here section by section as I read through it.

It is not yet on the website, but has been released via press release.

alright you wanna know how to support trans people?

hire them. It's REALLY hard already for visibly trans people to get jobs, even before this shit.

Support places that have trans people working front of house, and make sure owners know that's part of why you're there.

For screen readers to recognize headings, heading text can't just be body text or normal text that's been made to look bigger and bolder. It must be formatted as a heading. In Microsoft Word and Google Docs, this can be done in the styles box. In HTML, use the tags h1 through h6.

Gonna plug Chuck Tingle’s book “Bury Your Gays” here. It illustrates pretty clearly why corporations are not our allies (spoiler alert: it’s always about the money) and how rainbow capitalism is just another side of the exploitation coin
we had a great 8 years of it being acceptable to be publicly queer but the right tapped into their hysteria and are trying to push us back decades. this is why the left warned of relying on rainbow capitalism because their support was about profit above all else. the solution is for us to not hide
New: Meta has deleted trans and nonbinary Messenger themes, as well as the blog posts announcing them. Happens the same week that it has changed its rules to allow users to say LGBTQ+ people are "mentally ill"

Transphobia is a rich man's game. It allows billionaires to position themselves as brave truthtellers challenging the status quo without really risking anything because the group they're demeaning lacks much of any institutional power. It gives them the thrill of martyrdom without any sacrifice.

I think every queer person should eat your favorite pie, smile big, and be the gayest version of yourself today for no reason whatsoever.

1. This morning, I left the serene winter landscapes and beautiful skies of Montana, and Zooey and I finished our "half-moon" honeymoon.

We know what lies ahead...

In my latest piece, I reflect on finding warmth and peace as we prepare for the anti-trans wave.

A Last Moment Of Warmth Before The Anti-Trans Storm
The next few years will be hard for transgender people. I reflect on my own feelings of warmth after my my wedding to Zooey, Christmas with my wife and family, and the feelings of an uncertain future.

Part of what's gotta separate Art from Content is the reason for its creation. "People asked for it" makes financial sense. It doesn't answer *why it exists* from any artistically meaningful angle.

Hey y'all!

There will be no Erin In The Morning tomorrow. Instead, I was given a press pass for my coverage of the anti-trans laws across the US.

I'll be ditching my computer for a pencil and pen, and I'll be ready to report for all of you.

Thank you so much for trusting me to do this for you.
