My main WIP this week, and probably the rest of this summer, is Seth Richardson’s Turnout Shawl for a friend who’s getting married this year. Yarn is KFO Pure Silk in mandarin. #showmeyourknits

Started this hat 3 months ago and it’s finally (almost) done. Needs to get blocked and then off to its recipient—just in time for the 4th of July…

Yarns are Wooldreamers Cautiva (white) and BT Imbue sport (RIP) in Boro. Pattern link in alt. #knitsky 🧶

Here is literally a painted turtle I saw last weekend. It was in a (fake) cemetery at a historical site and he did not appreciate the company. Turtles can book it!

#showmeyourknits yellow! This is the start of a single color Maritime tee (CocoAmour) with Kelbourne Woolens Mojave. Turns out cotton/linen are very hard on my hands so I’ll be working on this in little bits and hopefully finish for next summer 🙄🧶🌞 #knitsky

My favorite joke in the show Kevin Can F*** Himself (set in Worcester) is when Annie Murphy’s character says, “Kevin thinks I’m a bad driver. He says I don’t honk enough.”

Ohio and longbract spiderworts looking lovely, flax starting to wind down, and yarrow kicking off. We’re waiting on the delphinium and mock orange — any day now! #bloomscrolling

Didn’t like how the modified drop shoulder fit me (too tight, drags neckline, bunches underarm, annoying to PU) so I learned a traditional set in sleeve. 12 fewer stitches around but fits perfectly. Mod 👏 your 👏 knits 👏 for 👏 you 👏

That color change across the chest is a single skein 🙃

Brilliant from the genius artist/cartoonist @anntelnaes.bsky.social about the idea that tweaking images with #AI is art ~ substack.com/@anntelnaes/...

Us photographers often face the same nonsense argument, while us news editors get AI written article pitches passed off as fresh ideas

Trying to decide what mindless thing to cast on during a 9 hour work retreat tomorrow. The golden larch hat is a strong contender but will my day be improved by doing ribbing? Suggestions welcome! (except socks) #knitsky 🧶
golden larch hat pattern by Jacelyn
This hat is inspired by the golden larches of the Pacific Northwest. The pattern has a lot of twists and uses a lot of yarn, but works up into a lovely all-over pattern that meets at a 9-pointed star ...

I know Great Barrington well and it is extremely hard to imagine any scenario on this earth in this small town that would require cops to roll out like they're going to war.

Trees are social beings that learn & remember, nurse their sick, warn each other of danger via a sophisticated fungal network that also keeps stumps of felled trees alive by feeding them.

They also feel something analogous to pain, so when hugged, I like to think they know

I know someone who’s one of these business majors and they’re either boycotting their own ceremony or hating every minute. These poor kids
Trump: "For the business majors here today, I challenge you not merely to use your talents for financial speculation, but to apply your great skills that you've learned and had to forging the steel and pouring the concrete of new American factories, plants, shipyards, and even cities."
