All charges brought against protesters at Broadview today must be dropped. When cops and agents attack crowds without provocation, they make shit up to justify their attacks (in his case, an attack waged on a cooperative crowd to produce fascist social media content). These charges must be dropped.

Spread calm. Tell the truth. Defend vulnerable people who are under attack. Getting stuck in a reactive mode is exhausting, and exhaustion can make us weak.

The state of Florida came in overnight and painted over the Pulse Memorial site crosswalk in Orlando. This crosswalk abided by the state’s laws and was originally installed by them. To be clear, the state surreptitiously painted over this memorial at night against the city’s wishes. Cowards.

Pope Leo 14 isn't the first "American" pope. First North American, first U.S., first Peruvian - yes. But Pope Francis was the first "American"Pope, being from South America.

Hello, @steveinskeep.bsky.social! First, thank you for your reporting. I appreciate all the work NPR is doing. I have only one complaint. The calm NPR voice feels terribly misplaced in our present moment. Cannot y’all cuss a bit?

Respectfully,

We’ll be back out from 3pm-5pm tomorrow. Hope to see you!
Hello from the Office of Personnel Management, aka the epicenter of Elon Musk’s coup.

Reportedly Elon Musk’s team of cronies and interns have set up inside, locking federal employees out of government databases and illegally accessing trillions of dollars of government funds.

Stop letting unfunny men tell you there’s something wrong with you for not getting their “jokes”. Stop fake laughing. Let their reality reflect the truth of how fundamentally they misunderstand humor. Neuter their ability to use “it was a joke” for emotional cover. Make them see nobody laugh.
