Clean, affordable water belongs to all of us. I’ve told the new Environment Secretary to act on real evidence for public ownership and put people first. Join me:https://actionnetwork.org/letters/ask-emma-reynolds-to-base-water-policy-on-facts-not-water-industry-fake-maths?source=bluesky&

In Brussels for really urgent conversations with @europeangreens.eu

I spoke about the genocide in Palestine, the inequality crisis & the need for Greens to respond to this moment.

Dunno if it’s just me but with all these mostly very old men in charge bombing each others’ civilians in many corners of the earth I’m starting to wonder if we should let women have a go running things.

Would there be quite as much carnage? Frankly I doubt it.

Gary Linkeker has been consistently bold, principled and spoken the truth clearly.

The fact the BBC has now placed itself in direct opposition to these values demonstrates the spiral our media is in.

We urgently need reform.

Solidarity, once again, to Gary. ✊🏼

In 'Lost Rainforests', I met Merlin Hanbury-Tenison, a Cornish farmer who's restoring temperate rainforest to his home farm.

Now Merlin has written the full story of this extraordinary project - 'Our Oaken Bones', out 20th March, & featured in the Observer here:

Hi @andrewsparrowgdn.bsky.social re: Reeves’ claim this morning that Sustainable Aviation Fuels are a ‘game changer’ - nope, see what the CCC say, demand growth has to be restricted to meet carbon budgets:

bsky.app/profile/isou...
The @thecccuk.bsky.social has suggested that SAFs may play a role in the future, but that demand will have to be constrained to meet aviation ghg targets.

In short, supporting another runway at Heathrow would mean that commensurate capacity will have to be reduced from airports elsewhere.

I'm sorry but if you turn up at a Food Bank to cheer King Charles turning up in a helicopter, and you are paying for it all.

You are part of the problem.

21 years ago, British journalist Tom Hurndall died after spending 9 months in a coma.

Tom was carrying a Palestinian child out of range of Israeli army gunfire when he was shot in the head.

We will never forget him, nor his vision of a free and independent Palestine.
