It's amazing what you can see if you look 👀 here are just 4 of the many snaps I took yesterday of different fungi in bloom 🍄‍🟫🍄🍄‍🟫 #Guernsey

Went for a walk round a graveyard on my own 👻 in the moonlight 🌜 saw a bat 🦇 got soaked with rain 🌧 and now I just need to cast a spell that wards children off approaching my house for my #Halloween task list to be complete 🧙‍♀️

Good riddance to the last of the dubious electrical sockets in my house 🫡 another coat of paint later and that will be another job done 👍

I nearly forgot, but thankfully didn't
.. lunar eclipse above Herm 🌚 It looked way better with my eyes than via photos, but I'm sure lots of people will have captured good images. A cloud has covered over now, which I'm hoping means the bad omens don't count and the crops will be fine 😆

Before and after (nearly 3 years after!). The hedge is still a work in progress, but the rotten soffits have been replaced, the house has been patched up and painted and the drain pipework has now all been lined and/or replaced. I am ready for you this year, winter! 🤠

I really enjoyed the BBC series, Human 👍 So much more is known about our evolution now compared with when I was at school, thanks to archaeologists around the world, and that knowledge will only keep on growing!

Dear old outside light, it's time to say goodbye to your spot on the wall, which has been taken up by your (less flaky) replacement that has been waiting for about a year for its time to shine (in a box in my garage). A long awaited changing of the guard 😄

I'm a bit worried that if the chap doing work on my house fits much more in this tonne bag it might distort the space-time continuum! 😆 Top score in tonne bag tetris🏆

The local bees don't know about #30DaysWild, but they've definately heard about my no-mow lawn - absolutely loads have come to visit now its in full flower! 🐝

Enjoyed my short, rainy trip to Ireland 🥔 1 night in Slane, 1 in Carlingford and 2 in Dublin 🇮🇪 no leprechaun sightings, but lots of nice scenery 🍀

Quite pleased with how my latest pallet planter has turned out 🤩 worth all the sawing effort! I just need to fill in the bits I missed painting and then work out how to line it (it's due to be an aquatic planter) 🌿

The sky over Rousse at high tide looked too good to cycle on home without stopping to get a snap this eve #Guernsey

#NoMowMay posts have reminded me to provide an update on my no mow (ever) lawn. It's looking lush and starting to flower ☘️ The clover has pushed out some of the thyme but the chamomile is holding its ground 👍 I have to keep pulling out grass 👎 (also, I need some sort of "hedge in progress" sign 😅)

We import animal products from all over the world into #Guernsey. I wonder what kind of life (and death) all those animals had? www.stopcruelimports.uk
Stop Cruel Imports | UK animal welfare
Stop Cruel Imports petition calls the UK Government to require imported animal products to meet the UK animal welfare standards.

I went to an interesting talk at the Creux es fees dolmen today (put on by La Société)... I confess my mind wandered during the bit about the beaker period, but I think I still took most if it in 😅 www.megalithicguernsey.co.uk/creux-es-fees/

I'm pleased to see this news 👍
You've done it! 🎉

100,000 signatures calling for a ban on caged farming. Now this has to be considered for a parliamentary debate.

We'll keep you updated on the next steps but for now, thank you. 💚

Doing my bit to slow the spread of invasive species... by eating some! 🍽 Had some fresh stems and dried some leaves and mixed them with salt. Inspired by the course I've just done with TGI... it was a course about the environment, not food 😄 college.tgi.ac.gg/wp/festival-...

Good point. Time to leap (or slowly unfurl) into action.
