First drone footage of #CycloneJude impact shows devastation from winds & widespread flooding in #Mozambique’s #Nampula province. This is the *third* cyclone of the current season - a large scale response will be needed to support the 100s of thousands of people being impacted.

#CycloneJude hitting #Mozambique now, threatening destruction across Nampula & Zambezia. Around 1m people at risk, with 1200 schools and 120 health care facilities likely to be put out of action. UNICEF is on the ground, ready to respond, but needs will likely exceed capacity.

Mayotte and Comoros are bracing for Intense Tropical Cyclone #Chido, currently passing north of Madagascar. The cyclone may bring winds up to 185 km/h, heavy rain and coastal flooding on Saturday.

On Sunday, Chido is expected to make landfall over Mozambique near Pemba.
