This new paper finds that public investment in Germany has favourable macroeconomic effects: it raises output (multiplier: ~2), lowers unemployment, crowds-in private investment and increases tax revenues. Effects stronger for infrastructure spending than private sector grants.

Selvästi Putinilla on joku "ote" Trumpista.
After 127 days in office, Trump has still not ended a war he claimed he would end within 100 days, and has yet to take a single concrete step to pressure the one person refusing to agree to the ceasefire he himself proposed — Putin.
Bracing for more Russian attacks, an anxious Ukraine waits for Trump to do… something
After an unprecedented three-day wave of Russian aerial attacks in Ukraine over the weekend, the world is once again looking to U.S. President Donald Trump to take his first steps toward forcing Mosco...

- paljonko F-35 -hävittäjistä on jo maksettu ja miten tilaus peruutetaan? Kuinka pian saamme korvaavat Euroopasta?
- miten hankkiudumme eroon DCA-sopimuksesta?

This is true. So what can Europe do? In the short term, it can improve Ukraine's "outside option" - ie what Ukraine gets if it says "no" to whatever Trump and Putin cook up. /
This — but Europe can only empower Ukraine to reject a bad deal by creating a better one.
