Poly folks, if a long term partner wanted flexibility around scheduling things because of a new partner, what would you think they were looking for?

How often would it feel appropriate for them to schedule over existing plans before it feels more like a lack of consideration vs wanting flexibility?

The US is running a Stanford Milgram experiment on a societal scale.
The headline really sanitizes what they did to this guy. Getting stripped naked, inadequate food, sleep deprivation sounds more like war on terror ear rendition than "interrogation."

The amount of money I would throw at anyone trying to invent something that would get smells out of your hair without having to wash it.

My hair smells perfumey from somewhere I went last night but I JUST washed it, no one with curly hair has time to wash their hair this much

We only know this man is in Gitmo because Noem tweeted a propaganda photo that included him and his sister saw it. He has no criminal record. He entered the US in January and immediately made an appointment with CBP to claim asylum. They sent him to a concentration camp bc of his basketball tattoo.

Luis Alberto Castillo arrived in the United States so that he could “give everything to his son,” said his sister. Then, while scrolling on TikTok, she found out he was headed to Guantánamo.

Dude I'm this 🤏 close to having a fucking meltdown over the absolutely unhinged shit happening in our country... and yet I'd still be acting more reasonably than anyone running this fucking government if I did. What the ever-loving fuck is this bullshit?

Include disabled people in your resistance planning. In many ways we’re built for resistance, as we have to find creative and sustainable ways to survive every single day.

This is the time for intersectionality and community care. We need to work together and save one another.

A lot of people who obey will struggle with the reality that they did something harmful in obeying, so they’ll twist themselves in knots to reinterpret their actions as moral and good.

But that’s how fascism ideologically wins—and expands. It makes us complicit and asks us to defend our morality.
The corollary to "don't obey in advance" is "don't obey more than you have to" - do the minimum legally required, and make them fight you for everything else
Here's the thing about the Tuskegee Airmen history - there was nothing in the EO about it. Someone in the Air Force interpreted it that way -- which is far worse.

They’re scapegoats. They’re not why eggs are expensive or you can’t afford a house, or why school shootings happen. They’re literally just normal people trying to make ends meet. Billionaires, cooperations, and lobbyists are who we should be getting rid of.

The point is that, once you accept the premise that some people are less human, and their suffering doesn't matter, and that they have no right to exist where they physically are, it suddenly becomes easy to justify a lot of atrocities.

That's why you must reject that premise at the start.
