Cool that renewables have become the cheapest source of energy in the world just as a bunch of reactionary-centrist US pundits have taken up the right-wing "climate vs. cheap energy" framing.

while the world trembles with violence?

Still, we lift our voices—
again and again—
because silence is surrender,
and prayer keeps hope alive.

May peace come.
May it come soon.
May it come for all.

Got the updated #COVID vaccine. I’m under 65 but qualified due to having asthma. However, I will share that when I scheduled the appointment online, I did not have to specify my diagnosis: just checked a box saying I had a qualifying health condition. No one at the pharmacy questioned me further.

Renewables can also provide a hedge against demand uncertainty, which is especially relevant in today’s era of data center growth. We saw this effect in another recent paper: bsky.app/profile/emil...
It's increasingly common to see a justifiable worry that AI data centers will raise electricity prices for ordinary consumers. What should we do about that?

There's a lot of remedies, but one overarching solution is to build more wind, solar, and batteries. Why? I am so glad you asked. 1/5
