I had a medical procedure today. (I'm doing great and I am stoked I had it done.) That said I'm a annoyed that I had a citizenship question while checking in for surgery. It said it has been a Texas law since 2024.

DA confirms they will go to the grand jury to seek first degree murder charges after they have time to review evidence. Under Minn. Law, 2nd degree was the highest charge they could bring by complaint (w/o GJ) & they needed charges to get the arrest warrant they used Sunday night.
Seeing lots of people expressing concern over the second-degree murder charge in Minnesota. This is the highest available charge- the Minnesota statute is unusual and there is nothing odd at play here.
