Because everyone agrees Musk did just a bang-up job on running that Twitter website there, right?
Elon Musk has shut down a team of tech-savvy civil servants responsible for developing the IRS’s free tax-filing service and improving government websites. As a result, 90 employees were immediately locked out of their devices and informed that their jobs were deemed non-essential.

There were reports from reputable sources that the Trump administration was looking to rip out existing EV chargers at government facilities. Follow-up by fact-checkers has found this not to be the case.

One could imagine Trump making a "spite" move like this, but Musk would certainly cry foul.
No credible evidence Trump plans to remove EV charging stations from federal buildings
The agency responsible for federal EV charging stations confirmed via email it was working to determine whether they were "mission critical."

The phone was deactivated, but still reattained the capability to call 911. An Oklahoma toddler accidentally called 911, then made a request for "emergency donuts".
WATCH: Moore officers deliver 'emergency donuts' after hilarious 911 call
The saga of "emergency donuts" continued after a toddler went viral for accidentally calling 911 for a special request.

Today's phrase: "Algorithmic Complacency" Otherwise known as letting the algorithm feed you information, instead of seeking out information for yourself. It caused us to lose control of the information we receive, and shapes how we view the world, for better or worse. www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEJp...

Stephen Pastis made this comic at the end of 2019. It keeps becoming more and more relevant, much like how the movie Idiocracy keeps creeping from satire to a documentary.

The Righteous Gemstones is an absolute masterpiece. There's no other show out there that cuts through evangelical bullshit quite like it. The writing is phenomenal. The characters are just as ridiculous as faith leaders are in real life. It's beautiful!

Luigi Mangione has certainly tapped into the frustration of folks whose lives have been ruined by health insurers making it way too hard to get the healthcare they need, if they get it at all. But we're the bad people for not being a bit sad about a CEO taking a bullet for his misdeeds. Right...

Next election, the Dems need to figure out how you convince the "Pwn the Libs" crowd that their existence will be worse under their candidate, without inadvertently selling them on said candidate. Some reverse psychology, perhaps? Maybe heap praise on him until they associate him with a liberal?

I can't be the only one who's distinctly disinterested in the events and happenings of the soon-to-be-again Trump administration. There's literally nothing he can do at this point that should be a surprise to anyone, other that dropping dead.

I dumped X before dumping X was cool.

Not really, but it kinda feels like I was early to the party this time. 😁

"The woman behind an early Facebook post spreading a harmful and baseless claim about Haitian immigrants eating local pets ... says she had no firsthand knowledge of any such incident and is now filled with regret and fear as a result of the ensuing fallout."

Actions, even on FB, have consequences.
