Every officer involved in these grabs knows what they are doing is illegal. It is absolutely essential that they be criminally prosecuted once possible, in order to restore basic rule of law. The correct response to an order you know to be unlawful is to refuse it and resign if necessary.

They're doing this on purpose. Snatch people off the streets and then try to move them to another state as quickly as possible so a judge in their home state has no time to tell them they can't. It's a disgusting flaunting of accountability and due process.

I sometimes struggle to describe the radical shift in what’s happening given that, in fact, a lot of the shitty things happening are extensions of things that were long happening to certain groups of people.
