My own artwork from a couple of years ago. I think those whole "Put a flag and a Constitution in every classroom" laws were all about making someone money. I did get to use the wooden flagpole while talking about deflection curves (EIy''''=w) and BVP's. That's gotta be worth something!

A compass barrel cactus that had been there since I started working fell down over the weekend; we had at least an inch of rain. I lost another compass barrel in my front yard for the same reason a few years ago.

Days of brighter plumage that faded into the more blue-green Hauke sports now; new to the job, he spends the weekend grading papers while attending to other personal matters (that do not require him to do much beyond sit still and be warm).

If I made the Linear Algebra test too easy, then I made the Differential Equations test too hard. Yikes. Tough slog over the weekend going through two classes' tests and seeing all kinds of crazy things. Do your homework! It helps.

They sheltered under oleanders and ornamental orange bushes most of the day and stubbornly resisted escorts home.
