Spotted the occasional flower in our nearby coastal heathland today - Broad Leaf Drumsticks and Jervis Bay grevillea. Kids and I will be back in a month for an explosion of birds and wildflowers.

The South Australian algal bloom is killing an immense amount of sea life. Algal blooms are likely to be more common with climate change (warmer water and longer marine heatwaves, changed wind patterns/upwelling and more river flood outflows to provide nutrients).
