For those using the word “performative” for moral high ground, stop it. We all started somewhere. Those “protest performers” are laying the groundwork to push the Overton window, letting you to do more impactful work.

That's today's docket. There's so much that could be said. Fuck judges, fuck the theatre of it all, fuck prosecutors, fuck every single person who helps keep folks locked up and traumatizes people on behalf of the state. Fuck ICE. The whole damn system is guilty as hell. Today was an angry day.

Not only does ASA Vescio show up late, she also refuses to convert the habeas petition into a bail review on the basis of indictment being a change in circumstance. Judge Schreiber notes that this is constantly done, but agrees with her and also refuses to convert the habeas into a bail review.

There is no “Third Time’s The Charm” if you’re a defendant. If you’re an ASA though- endless chances, both under Mosby and Bates, while defendants suffer longer incarcerated while innocent until proven guilty.

Case 5: This case was postponed from Wednesday because ASA Vescio did not show up to do her job yet again. She was here earlier, but now has left, meaning she’s not present for this case at this time.

Case 3: A person in a fight where both parties ended up in the hospital. When Judge Schreiber asks ASA Crowley if the case will be indicted, he cannot give an answer either way, but says if it is, the trial will not be until at least March 2026.
