Great news from the BoE for anyone with a tracker mortgage or coming to the end of a fix!

Not as great for savers but you've got plenty of other options than just a savings account and me, Rachel and the economy would be grateful if you'd cash out!

Paramount just paid Trump a bribe for merger approval. When Democrats retake power, I’ll be first in line calling for federal charges. In the meantime, state prosecutors should make the corporate execs who sold out our democracy answer in court, today.

Funny thing you notice after a while is that institutions really do start to take on the personality of the person at the top. In this case, the Tory party feels deeply, viscerally unpleasant.
After a Treasury spokesperson says Rachel Reeves was upset at PMQs due to a personal matter, Kemi Badenoch's spokesman tells journalists that "something strange is going on" and insists the Chancellor immediately disclose what is happening in her personal life

This could have been me. I was bitten by a stray dog in Tunisia and while getting the first rabies shot was easy there, it took a whole day of frantic calling to tropical medicine clinics to try and get the NHS to appreciate how time sensitive Dose 2 was.

Anyone who's been in a Poundland lately won't be surprised - their stores were beginning to feel dated, badly stocked and understaffed. It's one thing queuing for ages to save £30 in a discount supermarket, it's another to do it and only save 19p on tin foil.

Supermarkets are ripping off customers - not just by making packages smaller, but selling different sizes on the same shelf, at the same price and leaving it up to chance whether you get 5 Freddos or 4.

Finally! This is one of the most stupid hurdles to getting a heat pump. The next to knock down:

- Electricity prices 4x gas prices
- Lack of installers
- Time to replace a broken gas boiler in a home with no heating.
Planning change makes heat pump installations easier for homes
The rule requiring planning permission if a heat pump is within 1m of a neighbours property has been removed.

How are we supposed to get people off gas when the price ratio is now OVER 4x. This really pushes the limit of heat pumps being cheaper to run than gas boilers and would be entirely fixable by the government.
