Supermarkets are ripping off customers - not just by making packages smaller, but selling different sizes on the same shelf, at the same price and leaving it up to chance whether you get 5 Freddos or 4.

Was great to share my shrinkflation shopping trip on @goodmorningbritain.bsky.social

5/ We've got some of the worst 5G in Europe, and London was recently ranked worst major city in Europe getting trounced by Porto, Stockholm and Copenhagen.

How are we supposed to get people off gas when the price ratio is now OVER 4x. This really pushes the limit of heat pumps being cheaper to run than gas boilers and would be entirely fixable by the government.

New price cap from 1st July!

But there's no excuse to be paying this anymore: the fixed deals out there are great so GET SWITCHING!

Trump giddy to claim white people are suffering like a ten year old being told he has a free pass to say swears.

Big news in retail with launch of Amazon's Temu rip off in the UK! This is the area of their business that'll really suffer with Trump's de minimis rules (I wonder if this got launched here quicker to compensate?) but here the main threat will be Shein and Temu.

Great to chat to BBC Radio Stoke about what Trump's tariffs mean for the UK consumer.

Hopefully I was able to reduce the confusion rather than add to it: global trade is such a webby web that it's hard to say how cutting one strand here impacts another strand there.

So great to join @susanamendonca.bsky.social and Eddie Nestor in picking apart the Chancellor's Spring Statement, trying to tease out the implications for families across London.

Ends up meaning mad notes scribbled in the @bbclondonnews.bsky.social reception while cribbing off twitter...

It's a drop in the bucket but I'm really glad to see this extra money for fostering. £25 million for more foster families will save lives and boost the economy for pennies on the dollar.

I'm biased on this: my gran fostered over 100 kids and I can't begin to imagine her impact.

News flash - the CMA says you can't just double the price, slap "platinum" on the label and not give customers anything extra.

Now they've pointed out the obvious, I hope they pressure Ticketmaster to refund the difference to concertgoers.

You better believe this doesn't end in pardons. Trump will argue that a law he dislikes doesn't apply because it was "signed by autopen" and not by Biden.

And he'll have ten Quisling Republicans and ten puppet judges out there backing him up within the hour.
