Trump definitely didn’t eliminate USAID due to good intentions… but Americans really aren’t aware of the huge damage that USAID has done to many countries around the globe through its interventionist policies.
i don’t even know if crime is the right word for the illegal destruction of USAID. it is an autocratic power grab and a direct attack on the sovereignty of the american people

I will try to be much more active on here, but I’m still asking myself on what language should I post. I already have a twitter account where I tweet in Spanish (@hansalexrazo), and another one where I do it in Japanese (@hansalexrazo_jp). So perhaps I should just tweet here (mostly) in English (?).

It’s pretty interesting how *just* when Japan is experiencing its biggest corruption scandal (裏金問題) and the support for the LDP and the Kishida administration is at historic lows, Prime Minister Fumio Kishida is starting to push the debate for constitutional revision.

The thing I hate the most about Musk’s takeover of Twitter (“X”) is the right-ward shift that the site underwent.
There was already a right-wing problem under Dorsey, but with Musk in charge literal neo-nazis are out there freely spreading their hateful propaganda, with no repercussions.

So finally my first semester of mu master’s program is over. It was pretty exhausting, but I made many new friends and had amazing experiences (I even got to go to Japan for the first time!).

The only way to truly make Twitter die is to stop using it.
That’s why I’ll slowly start using alternative microblogging sites (such as Bluesky and Mastodon).
It’s sad because Twitter used to be my favorite app, but Elon Musk really ruined it.

2. You can’t put a specific link in your bio.
3. You can’t put your location in your bio.
4. You can’t pin a post on your profile.
5. There seem to be no #hashtags.
6. No draft posts.
7. You can’t post videos.
